At Our Table With Our Faith
The Islamic edition ·
52 weeks · for children ages 6 to 12

As-salamu alaykum,
Faith brings people together, and it splits them apart just as often. Almost never because anyone means harm. Usually because no one quite knows what the other believes. And that starts earlier than we think: many children also know little about their own faith.
That is why we made not one book but four: a Christian, a Jewish, an Islamic and a Buddhist edition. The same fifty-two topics, the same structure, each from its own tradition. A child gets to know their own story, and knows the child next to them gets the same question that same week.
The Islamic edition is made for one moment: at the table after the meal, once a week, ten minutes. A story, a verse from the Quran, a question with no right answer, and ten seconds of silence. That is all it is, and that is exactly why families keep it up.

What one week looks like
1 | A story Half a page about a child going through something your children will recognize. | 2 | A verse from the book One verse, with the reference, so you can look it up. | 3 | Did you know One small fact that makes children laugh or think. | 4 | The question of the week One question with no right answer. That is where the conversation starts. | 5 | Ten seconds of silence Literally ten seconds. Children find it the best part. | 6 | Two closing lines Short enough to say together, even for someone hearing it for the first time. |
A boy who insulted his friend and doesn't know how to make it right. Alongside it, a verse about forgiveness, with the surah noted. And a drawing the child gets to finish.
